Danube Cruise Part 6
A really big cemetery.
Nice parks.
Off the bus to take a walking tour of the Imperial Castle built mostly about 1140 by Conrad III.
Inner courtyard was nicely decorated.
The keep. The Luginsland Tower was begun in 1377.
The original doorway is about half way up.
The upper gate.
The lower gate.
Nearby housing. Street repairs.
Pleasant decoration.
The backside of St. Sebaldus Churh.
Clock detail on the Frauenkirche.
The Frauenkirche has a market square in front of it.
The square has statuary too and kids like they all are now.
A nearby canal.
The doors into the Frauenkirche were impressive.
The stained glass was not filled with Bible stories but rather Coats-of Arms.
The organ looks rebuilt.
Even the alter had no Bible stories in the stained glass.
Nice fountain.
Public art.
Neat building decorations.
The market square. Every European city has one or more of these.
Our servers entertained us on the last night.
In the lounge we had a volunteer singer. He had been entertaining us all every evening.
Our waiter with Peter and Emma at our last breakfast.
One last castle ruin.
North Carolina mom and daughter. Traditional outfit. She celebrated her 13th birthday on the cruise.
She got a new Nikon and was having a ball taking pictures.
