Parent Workshops

The C.H.A.M.P. /Gear Up Program parent workshops are designed to support and enhance the lives of the entire family are conducted throughout the year. Resume writing and computer literacy classes are offered to make our parents more marketable in the job force. Financial seminars help the individuals to better manage their funds. In additional, we also offer assistance to parents who wish to further their education.

 

Exploring the Internet and Basic Computing Skills

This workshop gives parents better understanding how to operate the computer, send and receive E-mail messages, familiarize themselves with MS Word and the World Wide Web.

 

Resume Writing and Interview Skills

Helps parents to create a new resume of update and existing one. This helps to give the employer written evidence of your qualifications. It provides facts about yourself and facts about the job you want. With this information in hand, you can present the facts about yourself in terms of the job.

 

Dealing with Everyday Stress

This course helps parents to learn to manage everyday stress and to avoid or remedy the effects of stress-related burnout. To help you explore your own personal and professional stressors and to discover new strategies for handling them on a daily basis.

Continuing Your Education

Workshop classes for parents who seek further education after an absence from school, enter the educational sector for the first time, or pursue supplementary professional training. Classes are offered to make our parents more marketable in the job force.
