Welcome to my online portfolio. Here you will find links to various stories I've written, including fiction and non-fiction, plus some other nifty things I've created. All of the linked writings are PDF files, so you'll need Adobe Reader to view them.
Abigail (116kb) is a short story that I wrote for class during the Fall 2007 semester. I think it's a good story, as do most people who've read it, though I'll probably go back to it and change the ending sooner or later.
My Grandfather's Things (108kb) is a historical account of my grandfather's experiences during the D-Day invasion of 1944. This is non-fiction, but I tried to write it in a compelling style, and I think I was rather successful in doing so.
Klein: Party of Two (92kb) is a short stage play that I wrote for a class during my senior undergrad year. It was performed once before a small audience, and was well-recieved; the audience laughed only when they were supposed to, and the actors all seemed to enjoy their roles.
Harnessing the Natural Power of Aging (108kb) is a scientific paper that I wrote for my genetics class as an undergrad. It highlights the California-based biopharmaceutical company Geron's research of a natural enzyme that could potentially cure all the negative effects that aging has on the human body. Truly cutting-edge stuff.
Papyrus is a CSS-based web page that I designed. In its current state, it won't display properly on all systems; you need a large monitor and a font called "papyrus" to get the full effect, but I plan to revamp the page soon to make it less technically demanding. This page represents my own take on Dave Shea's groundbreaking Zen Garden Project, which challenges designers to change the appearance of a single web page without altering its content.
