Did you know?

History students should develop the intellectual capacity for discerning patterns of continuity and change. Through research, writing, and oral presentations, students should develop their capacity to evaluate historical writing as well as primary source materials critically. The ability to analyze and synthesize information is a basic intellectual skill essential to all students' professional and vocational goals.


CLIO Class of 2006

In 2006, eighteen students began the Fall semester in the CLIO program. Seventeen of the students were history majors and one was a history minor. During the course of the Fall semester, two students changed majors (one to Physical Education and the other to Marketing). A new student applied to the program and was accepted and will begin taking CLIO classes in the Spring of 2007. Thus, there are currently 17 members of CLIO. Several of the current CLIO students have offered to correspond with interested students about the program and the Department of History. They can be reached via the following email addresses:
