Lynching Reconsidered: New Directions in the Study of Mob Violence

In 2005, Dr. Carrigan completed the editing of a collection entitled Lynching Reconsidered: New Directions in the Study of Mob Violence, which appeared as a special issue of the journal American Nineteenth Century History and subsequently as a book from Routledge. The volume explores recent and ongoing scholarship that challenges traditional understanding of lynching in the United States.
