Diet Analysis Points to Remember
Main points:
1. An accurate record - complete and detailed (don't worry if you have
crossed items out and written corrections - it is the completeness and
detail that I am interested in).
2. The computer printout in the order I specify (profile, 7-day average,
food pyramid)
3. A thoughtful written discussion of what they learned from the activity
Most helpful sheets.
-
Profile sheet should be first (demographics about and recommendations based
on the RDA).
-
Use the Seven-Day Average report for your analysis. You can refer
to each individual day for your reflections on specific menu/diet issues,
but the Seven-Day Average report will work for this report (overall perspective).
On the Seven-Day Average Report, take a highlighter pen and mark any nutrient
where you received LESS THAN 50% OR MORE THAN 200%.
-
Your the third sheet should be the Food Guide Pyramid sheet that gives
the amounts you have eaten from each food group. You should also
highlight the percentage of calories you receive from protein, carbohydrate,
fat and alcohol.
-
Include the rest of the report pages behind these three.
