Locomotor

Choose one locomotor skill for the IEP. Score each individual Criterion identified under each skill for each of the two Trials.  For example Run has 4 criterion the highest score total for two trials would be 8 the lowest score would be 0.  Create a rubric that reflects the number of criterion times the two trials for the locomotor skill you choose.

1. Nonsupport leg swings forward in pendular fashion to produce force

For each trial the child hops 3 times on the preferred foot and 3 times on the other foot.

4. Takes off and lands three consecutive times on preferred foot




5. Takes off and lands on three consecutive times on non-preferred foot

1. Body turned sideways so shoulders are aligned with the line on the floor



Slide 25 ft to the right and then return leading left
2. A step sideways with lead foot followed by a slide of the trailing foot




3. A minimum of four continuous step-slides to the right




4. A minimum of four continuous step-slides to the left
