that integrate props with locomotor and nonlocomotor

The class is divided into
six groups and each group is assigned a prop. Each group
will explore different movements with the props and create a
Formation: Students are in small groups of 3-6 and use
space designated for their assigned prop.
Movements: Students use locomotor and nonlocomotor movements
while using a prop.
Students are organized
into small groups and each group is assigned a prop station.
Each group will explore different movements with the props and
create a dance. Students are asked to:
- Explore 10 or more
different ways the prop can move safely. Each person in
the group needs to develop at least 2 ideas. [Improvisation
- Select five
movements using the prop from those you explored and decide
the number of repetitions for each movement. [Selection
- Organize the five
movements into a sequence. [Organizational process]
- Practice the dance
and make needed changes.
- Perform the dance
for the class or another group.
