A Little About Me:
Welcome to my website! My name is Dana Dietrich and I am a student at Rowan University. Unlike many of the students on campus, I do not attend school full time and I am not working towards a degree so that I can find my dream job. I am a part time student trying to accomplish the goal of completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Writing Arts. In the process of working to complete this goal I found my dream job.
Six years ago, at the age of 27, I decided that I hated my job and wanted to go back to school and fulfill my dreams of becoming a writer. I started out at Burlington County College where I went to school part time at night in the hopes of completing my Associate’s Degree in Communications. In 2006, I donned my cap and gown, walked in the graduation ceremony and received my diploma. At that point, it had taken me four years to complete my Associate’s Degree, so I figured I might as well keep going and go to Rowan to complete my Bachelor’s Degree.
Sometime between graduating from Burlington County College and taking my first few classes at Rowan University, I fell into a fabulous job. I was hired to work for Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. and help them form their own leasing division. I had been working in Healthcare leasing for about nine years at that point, but I was never given the chance to really express my ideas about policies and procedures. It was a dream opportunity and I grabbed it.
In the meantime, there was still the dream of completing my degree. I never put school on the back burner. I have continued to work full time and go to school part time in the hopes of one day donning the cap and gown to receive my diploma from Rowan University.
I still love to write and have included some of my pieces in my portfolio. I am hoping to graduate from Rowan in the spring of 2010 and continue my career within Toshiba America Medical Systems.
Thank you for visiting my website!
