My Portfolio:

Though I may never be a famous author or even see my words in print, it hasn't stopped me from pursuing my degree in Writing Arts. I love to write and have enjoyed all of my writing classes. Each class teaches me something new and challenges me to try something different.
I invite you to pull up a chair and take a peek at some writing samples in my portfolio:

A House With A Heart

This was an article I wrote for my Magazine Article Writing class at Rowan in the Fall of 2007. I submitted it to a magazine, but it was never published. Although I never got to see my words in print, it was a great learning experience. It taught me a lot about interviewing people and doing research. I also got to meet a lot of interesting people while researching the article.

Book Review of "Into the Flames" by Irene Gut Opdyke

The Spring of 2006 was my last semester at Burlington County College. I took a fabulous class about the literature of the Holocaust. As you can imagine, there were moments where the subject matter was gut wrenching and terrifying. This is a book review I did while in the class.

Cinderella: After the Happily Ever After

This is a fractured fairytale I wrote in my Writer's Mind class in the Fall of 2007 at Rowan. It was a great class that taught me to be a little more creative. I wrote a story about what happened to Cinderella after she married her Prince Charming.

The Commuter's Zoo

Poetry has never been a strong area for me. In my Creative Writing class at Rowan in the Fall of 2006, I was forced to face my fear of writing poetry. This is a sample of what I came up with.
