Coosa River Pipeline Bridge

PIPELINE BRIDGE RESEARCH:

Pipeline Bridge Project:

A two-year pipeline bridge project was conducted at Wayne State University and was funded by ANR Pipeline Company ($27,050). As the principal investigator (1985-87), Dr. Dusseau directed two graduate student assistants in finite-element computer modeling, and wind and seismic analysis of four existing pipeline suspension bridges: the Patterson Loop and Avalon Extension Aerial Crossings, both located near Patterson, Louisiana and both owned by ANR Pipeline Company; the Missouri River Pipeline Bridge near Plattsmouth, Nebraska; and the world's longest pipeline suspension bridge, the Mississippi River Pipeline Bridge near Grand Tower, Illinois.
