Rowan and Engineering Hall

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department (CEE) celebrates its twenty-fifth graduating class May 2024 while Rowan University celebrates its one-hundredth year. We have gathered memories from long-term faculty who arrived at Rowan between 1996 and 2002 and students who graduated every year from 2000 to 2024. For any viewers considering a career in Civil and Environmental Engineering, we have indicated work or research areas. The general areas of Civil Engineering are Structures, Environmental, Transportation, Water Resources, and Geotechnical. We hope you enjoy the memories!

The 25@100 questions were adapted from Bill Carrigan's Project 100 in which he interviewed 100+ faculty and alumni associated with the Rowan History Department. Check it out, it is great! The CEE students were interviewed by Jess W. Everett, a CEE professor who arrived at Rowan when the first cohort was in its Junior year. The CEE faculty answered a survey containing the student interview questions plus a few more. Professor Everett turned the interviews and surveys into short articles, which are arranged in chronological order by the year the alumni graduated or the year the professor arrived. The initial interviews and surveys were completed in February through April of 2024. The alumni selection was ad hoc. We know there are many more alumni with equally interesting remembrances and careers! Contact Professor Everett if you want to participate.
