COURSE OVERVIEW
It is anticipated that students in this course will someday be filling the role of the Health Educator in an elementary school setting. The primary focus of the course will be to sensitize the students to the importance of Elementary Health Education and how to become an effective health facilitator in the classroom. Students will be seen as active participants in the classroom and will be required to participate in regularly scheduled activities. By the completion of the course, students will have had a chance to examine a variety of Health Education teaching strategies as well as having an opportunity to develop their own Health teaching skills while incorporating the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards in Comprehensive Health Education.
