Dr. Hass earned a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Temple University. For four years he was visiting assistant professor at the University of Delaware, and is currently visiting assistant professor at Rowan University.
He is currently an active member of APA Division 10 and sits on the editorial board for the journal, Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts. He has published archival content analyses of the creative development of American popular songwriters, and of creativity and cognition in art, music, and science. His current research projects revolve around human-subjects and computational research of perception, cognition, and creation of music, art, science, and design.
Rick is also a multi-instrumentalist, but spends most of his time playing, and tuning his piano, and playing music with his friends Faux Slang and The Fantastic Imagination.
