Founded in 1923, Rowan University is a comprehensive state university located in Glassboro, NJ. With over 300 Faculty and 9500 students, Rowan is the University of South Jersey. Rowan is located in an area of farms and peach orchards, close to the Pinelands (our country's first National Reserve and a U.S. Biosphere Reserve of the Man and the Biosphere Program) and the Jersey Shore. New Jersey ranks fourth among US states in tourism revenue, the Jersey Shore is the reason why. It is approximately an hour to Atlantic City. Rowan is only 30 minutes from Philadelphia, 2 hours from New York City, and 2 hours and 40 minutes from Washington, D.C.

Rowan University has again been ranked among the best institutions of higher learning in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

For the eighth consecutive year, Rowan has been ranked in the first tier of the North Region-Master’s category in “America’s Best Colleges,” the annual compilation of the nation’s top colleges and universities published by U.S. News.
