Course Description:

This course is an introduction to the reverse engineering process.  Students in teams of three or four will take apart, operate and conduct experiments on portable water filters used during hiking and camping expeditions.  MSR, PuR, Katedyne and Sweetwater products will be explored.  Each team will have a different model to learn about basic engineering and science principles.  Focus will be on topics related but not limited to the following:
