• Planning and setting up a variable-temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM) to investigate photo-induced diffusion of adsorbed small molecules on metal surfaces.
• Characterizing the adsorption/desorption dynamics of hydrogen on silicon applying thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), STM and surface second harmonic generation.
• Investigating the recombination dynamics and the dielectric properties of solvated electrons in fluids with time-resolved THz-spectroscopy.

 

• The Title of graduation thesis is: “Lifetimes of Electrons in Excited Electronic States on Pure and Adsorbate Covered Metal Surfaces using Time-Resolved Two-Photon Photo-Emission.”
