Mission and Vision

Mission:

The Gregorio Condori Mamani Civil Association is a non-profit organization, founded in 1987, that participates, though the Casa del Cargador Project, in the creation of a just and dignified society, organizing lodging, training, and promotion for Andean peasant migrants, who inicially earn a living as rope carriers in the city of Cuzco, and who are marginalized economically, socially, culturally, and politically. The human condition of these men must be recognized and these men must be allowed to exercise their rights effectively.

Vision:

In the year 2006, the AGCM becomes an entity recognized for its capability for promoting the development of the Andean peasant migrant population.

In the economic sphere: The peasant migrants are subject to credit, products of more stable economic activities.

In the social sphere: They express their rejection of the marginalization that they suffer from the city population.

In the cultural sphere: They participate in cultural gatherings, affirming their cultural roots.

In the political sphere: They obtain positions in a larger arena, affirming their rights as citizens.
