Munich Prague Berlin

Part 5

On the road again and we find once more that we have to pay to pee.

Near the end of our rest stop.

We arrive in Prague and see the River Vltava.

City streets are not always straight but they are brick and lined with interesting buildings.

Our walking tour went through the Jewish district.

We reach the Old Town Square.

The gothic Church of Mother of God in front of Týn.

Tough way to make a living.

The Old Town Hall.

Dinner in a restaurant cellar. Food was good.

On to the Park Hotel, the best of the trip.

City tour guide, Simone, took us on a long walk from the castle area to the Old Town Square.

Some of the group took selfies with the castle entrance guards.

The second set of gates.

The castle courtyard. The President lives nearby.

Nearby homes of the rich and connected.

An interesting welcome.

One of the splendid windows in St. VitusŐs Cathedral.

Interesting gargoyles.

This cathedral is an excellent example of Gothic architecture and is the biggest and most important church in the country. Love those buttresses.

The Golden Lane which gets it name from goldsmiths who once lived there. Alchemy and the black arts may have been practiced here.

Kafka once lived in Number 22.
