To see the world as I see it in my mind's eye is a goal that I try to accomplish with every piece of writing, every competition that I take part in and all the film projects.
The honest search for truth is all that we can ask for and the highest level that we should try to attain.
I try to merge my Writing and Film degrees in a way that can show that truth helping give voice to those who have no one to fight for them, with my internship at the Media Mobilizing Project, which has shown me that change begins with the telling of an unheard story.
This is best accomplished by helping people stand up to be heard.
Teach that we all have the power to change something and if you try hard enough that one person can truly make a difference.
Going to college to learn that skills that I would need to accomplish this I believe that I am well prepared for the world that lay ahead of me.
Ultimately, I would live to run a production company that works with inner-city youth and communities to help them shed light onto their personal struggles and educate media literacy and the tools to create the media that they see each day.
While helping break down the mysticism of the media while showing them how the world can be changed by simply editing out what you do not think you need and show them that they have to be there to stop it.
