This section can be essentially copied and pasted from your unit plan.  Your unit plan will have more detailed information on student background (characteristics of the students, previous experience in the activity, and so on).

Section A should include:

• Background Information (Grade, number of students, Length of Lesson)

• Rationale (Describe why this is an important lesson for students to participate in - may be related to the unit plan rationale)

• Resources and Materials needed (Identify any equipment needed to conduct the lesson)

• Reference/Source (List any book, article, web site, etc. used.  This reference or references should also be in your unit plan reference list.   However, your unit plan may have other references in addition to those for this lesson)

• Anticipated Difficulties (Address any potential problems to watch out for, i.e. safety issues, discussion topic difficulties, etc.  This may be simply copied and pasted in this section, unless their are specific difficulties anticipated with this lesson not mentioned in the unit plan).
