             This computer solutions disk supplements the book,   DIGITAL 
        AND  ANALOG  COMMUNICATION  SYSTEMS, Sixth Edition,  by  Leon  W. 
        Couch, II, Prentice Hall, Upper Saddle River, NJ, 2000.
        
             This  subdirectory contains MATLAB (trademark of  The  Math-
        Works,  Inc.)  M files for selected equations,  figures,  tables, 
        examples,  and study-aid examples  in this book that  are  marked 
        with  a computer symbol. For example, to reproduce  Figure  3-14, 
        run  the MATLAB file FIG3_14.M. These *.M files were  written  by 
        Leon W. Couch, II and Ronald Forrest Smith.
        
             To   run  these MATLAB *.M files a copy  of  MATLAB  Student 
        Edition (Version 5) or the MATLAB Professional Edition is needed.
