H. S. M. Coxeter Award for Mathematics

The H. S. M. Coxeter Award for Mathematics honors Rowan University students showing unusually high levels of mathematical creativity and insight.  The students selected for this award will possess a mathematical understanding or spark well beyond the anything expected in even the most demanding courses.  The award seeks to honor students with exceptional mathematical abilities and accomplishments.  The award is named for the celebrated geometer Harold Scott MacDonald Coxeter (1907-2003).

The H. S. M. Coxeter Award for Mathematics is sponsored and administered by Christopher S. Simons, Ph.D.  While other mathematicians are consulted during the selection process, the award is not associated with any other entities.  The award was created in 2004, and retroactively awarded for 2002 and 2003.
