The High Street Gallery is currently accepting submissions for the 2008 & 2009 programming seasons. This call is open to artists, collectives, performers, and curators working in any/all media.
All submissions must include:
- Artist's CV
- One page Artist or Curatorial Statement, no longer the 500 words.
- One page project description, outlining the scope of the project and any specific requirements (spatial, technical, time of year, etc) along with drawings or illustrations of proposed work.
- Support material: max. 10 slides or jpegs on CD. One VHS or DVD
- Descriptive list for visual material (title, date, dimensions, medium)
The High Street Gallery is a student run gallery that aims to facilitate a diverse range of artistic programming. We also encourage initiatives that seek to expand our programming beyond the gallery space, and welcome proposals for site-specific projects. The programming committee will review submissions beginning Oct 17th.
Exhibitions run for approximately 16 days opening on a Thursday, closing on a Saturday.
The gallery consists of two exhibition areas. The front room is approximately 18’ X 30’, the back room 18’ x 12, with a couple of in set alcoves 4’ x 4’ in size. You can apply to exhibit in either the entire space, one of the two areas or as a group or collective.
