The Ensemble Galilei Residency Program
January 31, 2001 - February 2, 2001

Introducing Modern and Traditional Celtic Music for all ages.

The Center for the Arts in cooperation with the five dynamic women of Ensemble Galilei reaches out to Rowan Students, Area School Children and Senior Groups in the spirit of imagination and the love of music. 

 

 

Wynton Marsalis participated in one of the Center's most memorable master class sessions at Paulsboro High School taking students on a guided tour  through the history of jazz, sampling the  sounds and styles along the way.

 

Nexus helping kids keep on the right beat. The Nexus Percussion Ensemble brought their instruments and soulful sounds to the children of the Paulsboro Elementary School. The students were treated to a demonstration of each instrument, paired up with the musicians, and given a chance to make a little music of their own.

Garth Fagan brought his dance company to town.  Through an on-campus master class, the Fagan dancers and students explored movement and rhythm, while
sharing new modern dance techniques.
