Objective: The course
deals with
design topics in unreinforced and
reinforced masonry
structures and wood structures.
Upon

Course Grading:
Exam 1 ‑ 40%
Exam 2 ‑ 40%
Homework and
In-Class Assignments–
20% (graduate students: research paper 8% and homework 12%)
Class Policies: Attendance is
expected
at all class meetings. If you will not
be able to attend a class you should inform the instructor beforehand
in order
to obtain assignments, etc. Make-up
exams will not be given except under extreme circumstances. Each student is responsible for every
homework assignment. You are encouraged
to form study groups for test preparation but homework assignments are
supposed
to be individual efforts.
