Drawing of Water Treatment Device- CEE and ME Majors Only (Individual)

Each CEE or ME Major must submit enough drawings to demonstrate a mastery of SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Civils should use AutoCAD. Mechanical should use Solid Works. Each drawing should be given a title (e.g., Figure 1: Body of Mag-Lite Flashlight).

Demonstrate your mastery by providing a 2 or 3 view drawing of at least one important part. Pick a part that has curves and is complex. If you are not sure you're doing enough, show me what you plan to do.

See the "Graphics" chapter of your course text (also called "Appendix C") for help on making engineering drawings. Review the ppt lecture file. Your drawing should be clearly labelled and have dimensions.

Note: each team must include the following drawings in the mid-semester and final reports:

• Complete detailed and dimensioned drawings of your water treatment device and any important components. An exploded diagram tied to a parts list is best. Provide 2 or 3 view drawings of important parts (e.g., top and front or top, front, and side). An example of an important component is a filter cartridge.
• Drawing that shows how water moves through the water treatment device (on down and up strokes for lever or piston types or with the squeeze and release of a water bottle). Identify any check valves. Include text to describe water flow.

Each drawing should be given a title (e.g., Figure 1: Body of Mag-Lite Flashlight).

The CEEs and MEs on a team should coordinate this effort to avoid repeating drawings.
