Portfolio
The portfolio is described in the course syllabus. Update your portfolio each week, otherwise it may be difficult to produce a good one at the end of the semester. Please note that the portfolio is to include copies of all assignments (reports, quizzes,...). With the exception of the final report (which will be included in the portfolio ungraded), include copies of graded assignments, i.e., copies of the actual material you or your group turned in and I graded. This includes quizzes.
The portfolio includes your lab notebook. Work that should appear in your lab notebook includes: notes from class (lecture and lab), notes used to prepare reports, presentations, and posters, records of team meetings, and study materials. In other words. It should include everything you've done related to the course. Write everything in your lab notebook.
Each student must take primary responsibility for leading his/her group during at least one major lab activity. Thus, each student's lab notebook should include the raw data from at least one laboratory test. Each student should have hand drawings of some portion of a Mag-Lite and/or a water filter in their portfolio.
