HW 1 / Due Sept 17 / Chapter 2 - 13, 21, 26, 45, 85, 121

HW 2 / Due Sept 24 / Chapter 3 - 21, 38, 58, 96, 123, 157

HW 3 / Due Sept 29 / Chapter 4 - 30, 43, 59, 114, 131

HW 4 / Due Oct 11 / Chapter 5 - 15, 51, 87, 113, 137

HW 5 / Due Oct 15 / Chapter 6 - 9 (there are zero force members!), 53, 65, 87, 102

For problem 65: Draw a free body of the top section (A-F). One of the counters (CJ and HE) will be a zero-force member, as the counters are too slender to act in compression. You solve the problem by assuming one of them to be zero-force and seeing if the other member is in tension. If it isn't, assume that the other one is zero-force and solve again.
HW 6 / Due Oct 18 / Chapter 7 - 31, 32, 34, 42

HW 7 / Due Oct  18 / Chapter 9 - For the problem figure announced in class, determine Ix, Iy, Jo, kx, ky, A, the location of the centroid (x-bar and y-bar), and the moments about axes through the centroid.
