Before you proceed to booking your equipment, please take note of these
IMPORTANT PROCESS REMINDERS:
Bookings are automatically managed by the CCCA's connect2 system and are confirmed on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may change, cancel, and renew bookings through the online system. Direct any questions to the TV Production Coordinator.
Due to the volume of equipment being processed through the RTF Equipment Room, it is highly advisable that you book your equipment as far in advance as possible to ensure gear availability as well as time for the staff to prepare your equipment. Immediate checkouts of TV equipment will likely be delayed due to processing time needed to prepare the physical equipment.
The duration of checkout should be the minimum amount of time you need equipment for scheduled shoots; same-day checkout/checkin is encouraged; next-business-day check-in is fine; 2-day maximum; + 1 day renewal limit. If you need an extension beyond the limited time period, email the TV Production Coordinator with your name, Rowan email address, booking reference number (begins with CCCA), requested extended check-in date and time, justification for extension. Note that not all equipment may be available for extension due to other reservations already approved by the system.
You may cancel your request or confirmed reservation at any time without penalty. Please try to cancel as soon as you know so that the equipment can be made available for other groups.
IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT REMINDERS:
When using a boom pole and shotgun as separates, you MUST also request a microphone mount. You can choose either a fixed clamp (if minor adjustments are required) or a pistol grip (if you also intend to hand-hold the mic). If you choose the Rode boom mic kit in zipper bag, the boom pole and mount are included together.
Due to the limited availability of field lighting kits, you are strongly encouraged to use the Arri 4-light fresnel kit when shooting in the studios, instead of requesting a field lighting kit. This kit is indicated on the Studio request form available on the Studio Production and Labs page.
Field lighting dimmers are rated at 600 watts maximum. Do not attempt to dim the Tota Light (750W) from DV Creator Kit, Arri 650s (650W) from Arri Kit, or Lowel Softbox (1000W). This can result in damage to the equipment and risk fire, electrocution, or other danger.
