Before you proceed to the Studio Reservation Form, please take note of these
IMPORTANT PROCESS REMINDERS:
Due to high demand for the studios, and the nature of these high-tech spaces, all studio time must be reserved in advance if not utilized during a regularly scheduled studio course.
Requests submitted less than 24 hours prior to the indicated start time may not be processed in time, and/or may be denied at the discretion of the TV Production Coordinator.
Requests are processed daily, Monday through Friday. Submissions after 4pm Friday and through the weekend will be processed on Monday, or the next open business day. Any requests for MONDAY must be received by the 4pm Friday deadline!
Reservation of available studio spaces is confirmed on a first-come, first serve basis. If field shooting equipment is required as part of your studio request, you will book that separately using the CCCA Connect2 system.
All studio usage must be supervised by a member of the RTF Faculty, College Professional Staff, or trained lab supervisor. If no supervisor is available, the studio request/reservation will be cancelled, even if the chosen time was listed as available on a schedule.
The studios are unavailable for weekend use without prior consent from your Professor and the TV Production Coordinator at least two weeks in advance. Consent is granted only in extreme circumstances. Make every effort to schedule your studio shoot Monday through Friday within the available hours.
You will receive an email from the TV Production Coordinator once your reservation is processed and is approved, denied, or pending other action.
You may cancel your request or confirmed reservation at any time without penalty. Please try to cancel as soon as you know so that the time can be made available for other groups.
STUDIO NOTICES:
Recording using studio cameras requires DVCPro videotape which will be provided to students using the studios who are enrolled in current television production classes. Students or studio users not in production classes (i.e., RTN) must provide their own DVCPro tapestock. The SDX900 DVCPro camera in Studio 1 is set for 16:9 SD anamorphic recording to match the studio cameras. You can use it as "Camera 1" in the studio system for Studio 1 / Control Room 1, or as a standalone ENG camera. TV2 and TVDOC students should NOT use this camera for recording anything as those courses are shooting HD formats only.
The Arri 4-light fresnel kit (two 650-watt lights, two 300-watt lights, gel, diffusion, two chimera bags and speed rings for 650s) is automatically included for use in all studio reservations. Pre-existing reservations have first right to the Arri kit, no matter which Studio space is requested.
Due to overlapping schedules, please be courteous of other classes or production shoots taking place simultaneously in both studios.
