The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rowan university is the first in the nation to receive NSF RED funding.
RED stands for REvolutionizing engineering and computer science Departments (RED).
Our initiative is titled RevED-Revolutionizing Engineering Diversity
A number of steps have been taken to address the NSF RED goals. These include:
• Revisiting admissions criteria
• Curricular and extra-curricular reform to address diversity and inclusivity
• Faculty training
• Mentoring programs for CEE students (Transfers and Regular admits)

1. Develop Innovative and Inclusive Curriculum
2. Integrate Concepts from Humanities & Social Sciences
3. Address Gender/Racial Biases
This exciting and educational two hour workshop is followed by lunch. You can register at
