- To demonstrate an optical illusion known as a reflective �hologram�.

- Description
- Students find this demo fascinating! Although it is not a true hologram, it creates a 3-D image of the object placed in the center of the base mirror that appears to float above the circular opening on the top. When students go to touch this realistic image, they find that there is nothing there but thin air. You have to observe it from the correct angle (not directly above). When viewed from directly above, students can see (and touch) the reel object inside (a pig in the above photo).
