- Description
- This device may be used two ways to demonstrate the Doppler effect: 1.) By swinging the Doppler Rocket overhead in a circle, or 2.) By flying the Doppler rocket horizontally across the room (right photo). The overhead demo is simpler, requiring only one person (who won�t hear the Doppler shift). The horizontal demo is perhaps more dramatic as the rocket passes by, but requires two people. The rocket has a battery powered, single tone sound source that can be turned on with a switch. There is an instruction manual on shelf O5 which provides full details for either demonstration.
