Adjustable Rotational Inertia

Purpose
This demo can be used to show the dependence of angular acceleration, angular momentum and rotational energy on rotational inertia and applied torque.
Location
Room 136, shelf O2
Description
The moment of inertia can be changed by changing the distance of the cylindrical masses from the axis of rotation, and the torque can be changed by changing the amount of mass on the end of the string hanging over the bench-edge pulley.
