- Purpose
- To show that the center of gravity of an irregular plate is at the intersection of any two vertical suspension lines.

- Description
- Suspend the black plate by placing the metal hook of wooden handle thru an edge hole and hang the plumb bob from the same point. Note that the line of the string goes thru the white hole. Repeat this procedure for any other holes and show that the common point of intersection of the vertical lines is the white hole. Demonstrate that this hole is at the center of gravity of the plate by balancing it in a horizontal plane on a pencil point.
