- Description
- Get the students to predict which ball will reach the other end first, the one that takes the high road and goes the shorter distance, or the one that takes the low road and goes the longer distance. Start the two balls at the same time, and many will be surprised to see that the ball that has to go the greater distance (low road) easily beats the ball that takes the straight line (shortest distance) high road to the other end. The reason: The ball that takes the low road has a greater average speed.
