To familiarize students with basic units and instruments used in physics to measure length, mass, angle and volume

Equipment
meter/yard stick; 1.5 m tape; demo Vernier caliper; demo micrometers; 1 kg mass; 200 g mass; triple beam balance (located on shelves C1/C2); 1 liter (1000 cc) bottle with blue water; Protractor may be used with measuring tape to illustrate that 1 radius length of arc subtends 57.3"= 1 radian.
