This small animal has a rough exterior

built to withstand the hot temperatures

on the planet’s surface. Mostly nocturnal,

they come out at night to hunt for food

and love sleeping during the day close to

the heat of the nearest pool of lava.

These elegant creatures have

long legs with tough skin that allow

them to walk through lava.

They’re also equipped with wings

that they use for quick getaways in

the case of an eruption.
