Next thing you know, sunlight is hitting your eyes. Your body is sore as you sit up and take in your surroundings. Sunlight floods the attic and your memories of the night before become clear. On the little nightstand by the bed is a note which sits beside some food. Ignoring the food, you pick up the note.

Hello Wanderer, I'm sorry I could not be here to see you off but I must walk through the woods in the morning in case there are any more stray visitors in need. I left you some food and water before you leave. I'm glad you found me; those woods are dangerous at night; too many creatures lurking out there. I've attached a map on the back of this in case you need help finding your way. Thank you.

You turn the note over and see the small map. The drawings are faded, but you can make out the path to the main road. Taking one last look around attic, you slip the map into your pocket and leave.

Your entire journey back, you hope to catch sight of the strange woman who ultimately saved you from the woods.
