“Who are these people on the wall? They’re my family!” Louise exclaims. She takes down a picture of her and another woman. “That’s Sharon, I met her a few years ago. She helped me buy some food when I was on the road.” Another photo gets taken down, this one of two men. “This is Andy and Charlie! They helped fix my car when it broke down on the side of the road!” Louise explains.
You mention how nice it is to have such a big family, and that holidays must be a nightmare to deal with.
Louise chuckles as she places the photos back on the wall. “These people aren’t related to me by blood, but by soul. We connected because they helped me when I was at my worst. I didn’t have much at the time, all I could really do is thank them and consider them family.”
You ask about her blood family.
“Blood family? Hell if I know! I left home when I was sixteen and haven’t looked back since! I started my family from the ground up, and every-so-often it gets a little bit bigger.” Louise explains.
You feel a bit bad for Louise, but it also warms your heart to see her connect to so many people.
Then, you start thinking about how the weed hasn’t kicked in yet.
You wonder if it was just really weak weed.
