As you begin volunteering, you learn

a lot about the organization, including

that people are calling it

“The People’s Temple”. Many explain how

they believe their faith begins with social

justice, explaining that they actively wanted to

help the homeless population to get their

feet off the ground, provide support to

those dealing with drug and alcohol abuse,

and actively participate and support the

civil rights movement. This is a place for people

to feel valued.
