The Mystery of Traffic Lights

This game is an application of digital logic in a traffic light control. As a practical and real-world example that students can associate in terms of its functionality and importance, the design of the traffic light control is a typical sequential machine. The game allows students to utilize fundamental design techniques, such as finite state machine, state minimization for optimization, and counter/Timer design, etc. For more details about the game, click to play the video below.

Judge Who - Battle for a Decision

This game is devoted to combinational circuit design, involving the concepts of Boolean function, truth table, and Karnaugh maps, as well as the design procedures. The game is seeking a valuable solution to automate the decision-making process in a small city court. In particular, it invites smart engineers to to design a voting system that takes judges’ inputs and automatically yields a verdict favoring the majority of the votes.
