The woman sounds genuine and when she turns around, you see a hope on her face that tugs at your chest. She may be the very person who can help you. Taking a moment to collct yourself, you crawl from your hiding place and stand, catching the woman's attention. Her face splits into a smile.
"Oh! Hello!" she sounds so excited that you're there, "Usually travelers don't come down here to my room. They usually sleep in the attic,"
She holds out a hand, "Please come with me, you must be exhausted running through those woods. It is much safer in the daylight,"
You hesitate taking her hand but that doesn't seem to faze her. She pulls away and instead reaches for your arm, tugging you with her back upstairs. She leads you to the attic which you see has been turned into a makeshift room.
"Please rest and I shall see you on your way come morning," she said sweetly before closing the door behind her. You sit on the bed, feeling exhaustion finally set in. You slump further into the mattress and fall asleep.
