Rowan Noyce Scholars Program
Application (Deadline: July 15, 2023)
Potential Noyce Scholars must meet the following selection criteria:
- Be enrolled in the Rowan University Master of Arts in STEM Education Program (https://education.rowan.edu/departments-and-offices/steam/matSTEM/) or be continuing in a Combined Advanced Degree Program (CADP, a.k.a. 4+1) affiliated with the MA in STEM Education.
- Be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
- Not be in violation of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act and not have been convicted of any felony.
Potential Noyce Scholars must submit the following application requirements:
- Academic transcripts and two professional letters of recommendation
- Current MA in STEM Education students must allow access to their original application materials
- Current 4+1 students must submit names and email addresses of two professional references
- A one-page Rowan Noyce Scholars Program application (link below)
- An essay (not more than three pages, uploaded to the application, PDF format is preferred)
Applicants should demonstrate dedication to teaching in a high-need district and emphasize their unique qualifications for teaching in a high-need district by answering the following questions:
Why do you want to teach in a high-need school district? What skills and experiences will you bring to your work that will help you be an effective teacher in a high-need district?
