The MAC lab has 28 student stations that are Macintosh iMAC, or G4 computers equipped with software applications used in K-12 schools. It has a teacher computer station connected to a LCD projector, which also has the option to play a VCR or a laserdisc.

All computers are connected to the university LAN and Internet. Scanning and printing are available, with the students having the choice to use a color printer if necessary.

MAC lab upgrades in the summer of 2000 provided new data wiring, a new electrical panel, and a clean power supply.

The space is an instructional area for all sections of the required educational technology course, EDM 300; any instructor in the School of Education also can reserve it when it is not scheduled for EDM 300.

There are open lab times available with student lab assistants at times when the lab is not being used for instruction. The computers in the MAC Lab have the following applications on them: AppleWorks, KidPix Deluxe, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, HyperStudio, Front Page, Inspiration, and Adobe Acrobat Reader, iMovie, Morph, Fetch, Netscape Communicator, and Microsoft Explorer.
