Technology Classroom

Recitation Hall, 311

The technology classroom was completely rebuilt from the walls out during the summer of 2000. It was equipped with new furnishings and contains a podium controlled (AXM) switching system that projects video from the computer, VCR, Hi8 player, document camera, laserdisc player, and controls a sound system.

Also, computer images are projected on an interactive (Smartboard) white board from a second projector.

The room has 11 Macintosh student workstations, two printers, a scanner, and a music keyboard. The classroom supports full multimedia presentations and has been planned so preservice teachers can emulate the technology activities that are advocated for K-12 classrooms. The space is the primary instructional area for all sections of the required educational technology course, Introduction to Instructional Communications (EDM300); any instructor in the School of Education also can reserve it when it is not scheduled for EDM 300.
